Power comes first

The recorded demo Q&A says the current room’s sockets must be occupied by gems to power it. If a beam is not doing what you expect, check that condition before assuming the route or gem is wrong.

Then use the effect

The narration describes beams that enable pushing, disrupting force fields and walking through walls. It does not provide a reliable full color-to-power table, so this guide does not assign an effect to an unverified color.

Make turning space

The Explorer’s heavy harness is described as preventing ordinary pushing and requiring open space for a right-angle turn. A powered ability can change an interaction, but the base movement restriction matters when arranging the approach.

Beyond the introductory rooms

The official overview describes the western world as using giant gems and colored beams, including simultaneous combinations that open routes. That is the broader system; the socket and movement guidance above is scoped to the narrated demo.
