Order of the Sinking Star connects four puzzle worlds through the Overworld. Their systems meet as the adventure expands.

A low-spoiler start based on the documented demo.
PlayStation’s demo report starts with the Queen pushing objects through a grid-based palace. Use these opening rooms to notice which spaces are blocked and what a move changes before planning a longer sequence.
In the recorded demo Q&A, a restart can itself be undone. Checkpoints also restore a known state without reversing moves one at a time. That makes a small experiment more useful than abandoning a promising arrangement after one mistake.
Follow the documented progression loop without a fabricated room-by-room route.
Start by choosing a cardinal route from the Overworld. This pre-release walkthrough explains the progression structure described by the publisher; it does not prescribe a numbered sequence of rooms.
PlayStation’s July demo report describes the Queen using other characters’ abilities to reach more of the Overworld. Completing a local puzzle can therefore teach a rule that matters outside that room.
Start with the obstacle you can identify, rather than an unverified puzzle number.
In the narrated demo, the Wizard’s swap puts the crystal where the Wizard was standing. Begin the swap from the button you want occupied. Simply aiming toward a crystal does not determine a useful landing square for it.
For the demo Wizard room described as having a central crystal and side crystals, the demonstrator handles the middle crystal first. This advice applies to that narrated layout; it is not a rule that the centre must always be solved first.
A practical guide to documented roles rather than a final cast census.
The demo’s initial northern trio gives you three different operations: Valens pushes, Tif pulls, and Isidore swaps with objects in line of sight. Choose according to the direction the object must move and the space available to the character.
PlayStation’s demo preview describes a Bard who charms and a Priestess who is immune and protects adjacent allies. It also describes monsters harming other monsters, so repositioning a threat may matter as much as moving a crystal.
A regional orientation diagram, not a tile map or puzzle-location database.
The publisher places the Overworld at the centre of four cardinal routes. The schematic below shows their relationship; distances and room counts are not represented.
The northern route introduces the moving crew and its complementary object-manipulation abilities.
Understand the bridges and the first announced regional example.
The official overview says clearing a Gold Room links two realms. It describes six dual-combination areas, including beams with mirrors and the moving crew with skipping stones. This is a description of the planned structure, not a list of room coordinates.
The official PS5 overview narrates a Gold Room in the northeast where the heroes meet the Mirror Isles. Beyond it, puzzles combine the two systems. Prepare to reason about both sets of rules; no square-by-square unlock route is established by the narration.
A spoiler-light introduction to how the mystery is told.
PlayStation’s demo report introduces the Queen in a strange palace, where the opening puzzles teach movement, object manipulation and undo.
The official narrative article describes interwoven character journeys, hidden audio logs and environmental clues that reveal the Order and the history of the Overworld. The Queen’s past is part of that mystery. This is a guide to the narrative premise, not an explanation of an ending or a checklist of hidden logs.
Publisher date and storefront status, checked October 2, 2026.
The official site schedules Order of the Sinking Star for October 8, 2026 on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. An exact regional unlock time is not established by that announcement.
The retrieved US PlayStation Store page still says the release date is to be determined. That is a storefront discrepancy alongside the publisher announcement, not evidence that a delay has been announced.
